I’ve been drawing picture stories for as long as I can remember.
My lifelong love of telling stories through visual images led me to study Fine Art at University of Cincinnati’s School of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP) and earn a BFA in 2007. I specialized in 2-dimensional art, especially comics.
From 2011-2013, I networked with over 100 amazing artists to self-publish 10 comic art anthologies, while practicing book layout, retouching, design, and print skills. In 2012, I won a grant from the Xeric Foundation to self-publish an autobiographical comic.
Currently, I am working on a graphic novel and occasionally take breaks to indulge ideas for short comics / single-panels that pop into my brain.
Wolf Girl
Wolf Girl is an upcoming graphic novel that tells the folkloric tale of a girl who runs away from home and is taken in by wolves.
On her journey through the woods and a rural community, she fights to discover where she truly belongs and if she is more wolf or girl.
Creation of Woman
This short story is how I processed sexual harassment, and helped me to learn how to trust in my words and my work.
